Leading Tools & Technologies
The Seattle Center for Cosmetic Dentistry is one of the most advanced dental clinics in the Pacific Northwest. We believe that when you put the finest tools in the best hands, you produce superior results. The bottom line is that these leading edge technologies equip us to deliver the finest care available.
Dental Microabrasion
Like a miniature sandblaster, this tool enables us to prepare teeth without a dental drill. Cavity preparation is more conservative, and in many cases work can be done comfortably without anesthesia.
BriteSmile Whitening System
In just one visit, you'll enjoy a brighter, whiter smile. This state-of-the-art, in-office light activated system makes teeth an average of nine shades whiter on the universal shade guide.
DIAGNOdent Diagnostic Laser
Shining this micro-laser beam on the biting surfaces of teeth enables us to catch decay, or "caries," at earlier stages, which means more invasive restorative work may be avoided later. This technology improves early detection of decay in the deep grooves of molars, even below the enamel surface, from 25% with traditional tools alone to approximately 95%.
Ultrasonic Scalers
More comfortable and effective hygiene is accomplished with these super-slim tools that help us to clean under the gums.
Computer Imaging
With digital image manipulation, we can give patients a preview of what they'll look like with a new smile.
DVD Presentations
Dental operatories equipped with computer monitors allow patients to view menu-driven DVD-based presentations. Our assistants review presentations with patients, offering a visual learning component to supplement explanations. Patients get a clearer understanding of their problems and potential solutions with video; and, how they can be used to solve problems.
Diode Lasers
Laser technology improves the efficiency of hygiene treatments, promotes rapid healing, helps relieve pain, and provides pin-point accuracy for minor surgical procedures.
Intra-Oral Magnification
High-magnification loupes (6x) with high-intensity illumination enables us to see in fine detail, helps us catch things that others might miss using the naked eye, and allows us to be more precise, accurate, careful and use the most delicate touch.
Intra-Oral Cameras
Micro cameras used to view the inside of the mouth, let patients see and understand procedures. Plus, as advocates who assist patients with maximizing their insurance coverage benefits, we can supply insurance companies with photographs to provide indisputable evidence of indications and treatment.
Panoramic X-Ray Imaging
Used for evaluation, these images accurately survey the complete oral landscape. High-speed film also reduces patient radiation exposure to a minimum.
35mm Intra-Oral Photography
By taking a full set of photographs, we can give patients more control and predictability for cosmetic cases. A complete photo work-up is an integral component of every extensive care plan.
Digital Photography
Instant images give immediate visual feedback and documentation of cosmetic cases. We use digital photos to quickly assemble an image archive so we can see how things change. This is important for documenting cases over time. Communication with other health care specialists is also more efficient when we can share images that tell the story.
